Rock Garden
The lamp's
design is inspired by Japanese rock gardens. Rocks are carefully located in
the gardens to express cosmic beauty in a worldly environment.
Most of the surface of the rocks is hidden underground. Only the top parts of
the rocks can be seen, like icebergs.
It lets viewers enjoy imagining the volume and shape, which is buried and invisible.
Each rock is thought to have a specific character and its own axis and direction.
The relationship between the rocks creates a specific story in the garden.
The lamp contains pyramid shaped objects. Users can choose to place these in
their own configuration on the rectangular frame,
which has energy saving fluorescent light tubes inside , which emit light upward
to gently illuminate, as well as lighting downwards to give a strong light for
the tabletop.
